Toronto Test on Tap

It was a busy day at The Home Depot Center as the press gathered en masse to get some time with Landon and Edson before they head off to pre-World Cup National Team camp New Jersey. But before they can begin to think about that, they have one more game with the Galaxy to take care of.

Bruce Arena's team has taken 22 of a possible 24 points so far this season and will look to continue their winning ways against Toronto FC on Saturday night, a team that the Galaxy swept during the 2009 season.

The team went through a lively session under clear Carson skies today. Spirits were high to begin with thanks to the club's great start to the season, but they were raised even more as Sean Franklin and Eddie Lewis each took part in large portions of today's session while Dema and Leonardo each warmed up with the club before breaking off to do additional fitness training.

Just like the Galaxy last week, Saturday's game will be Toronto's third in eight days following a 4-1 home win over Chicago last weekend and a 1-0 win at Montreal in the Nutrilite Canadian Championship last night. In fact, Toronto is the third straight team to visit the Galaxy at The HDC on the heels of a midweek encounter, with RSL and Philly each falling to LA following midweek Open Cup Play-In Games.

Toronto's win over Montreal was their first road win of the season in all competitions, as they remain 0-4-0 away from BMO Field in MLS play. Since joining MLS prior to the 2007 season, the Reds are just 6-33-10 away from home in the league, including 1-5-0 at The Home Depot Center.
