Defender Omar Gonzalez joined the rest of his Galaxy teammates in Arizona yesterday after being one of three players not to be included in the U.S. National Team's travel squad for Wednesday's friendly against El Salvador.
With Gonzalez back in camp, the Galaxy now have 22 players in Arizona, including pool goalkeeper Kevin Guppy. In addition to Landon Donovan and David Beckham, who remain in Europe on loan, the only players not travel to Arizona were Alan Gordon and Clint Mathis, each of who remained in Carson to rehab knee injuries.
Mathis underwent surgery at the start of the month and was scheduled to miss 4-6 weeks. Gordon had minor surgery during the offseason and has split his time between training session and rehab with Athletes Performance throughout the preseason. He is scheduled to rejoin the team in training when they return from Arizona on March 1.
