I was watching that show about ridiculous Sweet 16 birthday parties and I was wondering... why is it 16? You can't vote, you can't drink and if it was up to me you couldn't drive either. A ridiculous OTT party should be for a more sensible age like 13 (entering teendom) or dignified like 40. Yes, that's it. A "Fabulous Forty" party. This is the age when you deserve a brand new car. This is the age when you've earned the right to yell and stamp your feet in public when you don't get your way. You could hold the party at a driving range... ooh, better yet, a firing range getting rid of all your frustrations over bosses and bills. You could give out loot bags containing condoms and stogies and airline sized boozes... it would be a complete, adult blowout.

The Born This Way singer marked turning a quarter of a century old as she performed on stage at the Staples Center in Los Angeles as part of her Monster's Ball world tour.
At the end of the show, her some of her backing dancers crept back stage before emerging with a huge red cake.
Gaga then wished her fans health and happiness as she blew out the six candles on top.
Pretty in pink: She slipped into a series of colourful ensembles during the concert
Birthday call: Earlier in the day she spoke to Ellen DeGeneres over the phone on her TV show
After making her wish, she threw the candles into the audience, before scooping up some of the delicious icing and sampling it.

And while it may be none of the above at all, it still came as a surprise to see Kim Kardashian wearing flat heels.
The likely reason was that she had a flight to catch and wanted to stay comfortable - not that that's ever stopped her wearing sky high heels on a plane before.
But there's always a first time for everything and maybe she just wanted to keep her designer stilettos safely packed until the occasion calls for them.
Kim, 30, also kept her long, thick wavy dark tresses hidden beneath a woolly hat, not cascading down her shoulders or - on casual days - in a sexy ponytail.

And while it may be none of the above at all, it still came as a surprise to see Kim Kardashian wearing flat heels.
The likely reason was that she had a flight to catch and wanted to stay comfortable - not that that's ever stopped her wearing sky high heels on a plane before.
But there's always a first time for everything and maybe she just wanted to keep her designer stilettos safely packed until the occasion calls for them.
Kim, 30, also kept her long, thick wavy dark tresses hidden beneath a woolly hat, not cascading down her shoulders or - on casual days - in a sexy ponytail.
