Vanessa Hudgens was so excited by the LA Lakers win against the New Orleans Hornets that she threw her arms up in the air shouting.

And her belly button piercing was on full display as her ‘Lakers are for lovers’ T-Shirt flew up during the action as she sat alongside her pal Josh Hutcherson.

The Journey 2: The Mysterious Island co-stars were watching the basketball game at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, after Vanessa returned from Las Vegas earlier in the day.

The Sucker Punch actress’s T-shirt seemed to have brought the team luck and her sister Stella tweeted: ‘Sissy wore my good luck lakers shirt. I’m telling you it works everytime brah!’

And the star couldn't hide her excitement throughout the game as she danced and chatted to her pal Josh.

The friends also grabbed a snack together when they got hungry and feasted on pizza slices.

Vanessa was first spotted showing off her belly ring in 2009 while on a beach holiday with her former boyfriend of four years Zac Efron.

But since their split Vanessa, 22, and Josh, 18, have been spending an increasing amount of time together, despite not revealing details of their relationship.

And the friends weren’t the only fans watching court-side at yesterday’s match, as they shared the stadium with Tom Cruise, David and Brooklyn Beckham and Jack Nicholson.

Tom and his adopted son Connor popped over to greet Becks before Cruise went and said hello to the High School Musical star.

Vanessa had been busy celebrating the release of her new film Sucker Punch all weekend, clubbing in both Los Angeles and Las Vegas.

On Friday night she was spotted at the Trousdale nightclub in Hollywood before racing to Vegas to host Pure nightclub for the film release party on Saturday night.

And a big celebration was in order after Sucker Punch wound up in the second spot at the weekend U.S. Box Office, raking in $20million (£12million).

The Zack Snyder directed film is set to be released in the UK on April 1.

Earlier in the day Josh went over to meet Vanessa at her Studio City apartment to head to the game together.

The actress teamed up her Lakers T-shirt with casual jeans and a brown suede jacket.
