Anne Heche's Ex 'Grateful' for Their Time Together
Anne Heche's husband, Coley Laffoon, the time he spent with his now-estranged wife was "amazing" – but he's ready to move on.
"I've had an amazing six years with Anne and I will always be grateful for what we shared," Laffoon, a cameraman.
"But now it's time to get back in the mix. I'm ready to pick up the camera again, and step in front of it too. I want to thank everyone for their support and good wishes. I'm looking forward to the next adventure."
Heche, 37, and Laffoon, 33, split in January, and on Feb. 1 Laffoon filed for divorce from the Men in Trees star, citing irreconcilable differences.
Insiders say the breakup was the result of Heche's budding relationship with her on-camera love interest, James Tupper, who split from his wife last year.
Reps for Heche and Tupper have not commented, but the actors have been spotted looking cozy on several occasions recently, including during a trip to Canada in mid-January.
Laffoon and Heche met when filming a 2001 documentary on her then-partner, Ellen DeGeneres. They wed in 2001 and have a 4-year-old son, Homer.
Laffoon is seeking joint custody of their son and spousal support from Heche.
