Nah, nothing more than what two bookshelves can hold! :)
http://www.lspace.org/books/reading-order-guides/ has a map over which books makes sense to start with. The first two in the series ("The Colour of Magic" and "The Light Fantastic") might be a tad compact at first read (maybe just me, but I've had friends tell me this as well, so...).
I originally wanted to play the computer game, but felt I had to read the books first... I never got around to actually playing the games though. (I tried "Discworld Noir" for a while, but some of its bugs seriously interfered with the gameplay)
"Mort" I believe contains the reference to "Duck Man"...

I..sort of have turned philosophical abt the whole process. Having said that, I also see bright flashes off and on...(just kiddin'). I talk optimism, walk optimism, eat optimism, sleep optimism :) ..ends here!.
If all that it takes is - a copy of our presentation to be mailed/emailed to this 'super cop' of a minister or his office, I would still do it. That way, I have at least challenged him..

38mm is still very much in the "normal" range for a 35mm format. The usual guidline has been that the focal length of the "normal" lens should be approx. the same as the film diagonal. If you were to crop your image to 8 x10 proportions from a 35mm image the diagonal would be 38.4mm.

We got a rejection notice for my wife's 485 & 765 application. The notice said

"Based on the information you provided, your priority date could not be established. Please resubmit you application with the proper documentation to the address listed on the bottom of this notice
The following documents may be provided:
Your original Form I-130(petition for alien relative) if you are filing concurrently ; or
Your original Form I-360 if you are filing concurrently; or
A copy of your Form I-797 if the petition has already beed filed/approved; or
Other evidence that an immigration visa petition has been filed/approved on your behalf.

My PD is Mar 2005, EB2 and my 485 is pending since aug 2007.
We have included following documentation in the package
1) Forms 485 ,765 , G 325 A
2) passport copy
3) Birth certificate and affidavits
4) My 485 receipt notice
5) My I 140 approval
6) Letter from the employer saying that i am still employed with them
7) Pay stubs

Yeah.. sometimes I've had to rework things that didn't quite work well enough the first time, broken apart.
The dialsplash above was actually the 12th attempt or so at getting that right. Initialy I was using the texture of the stone broken apart and then filled. That looked fine.. but the symbols on the timeline didn't look good at all. I ended up importing the symbols to Painter6.0, creating the wheel there, with the symbols in place, and then using the whole thing as a fill.
It may be that gifs look worse when imported than png's (ok there is no doubt that they look worse, but I mean proportionaly). That would explain why my pgn texture looked good when my gif symbols looked like crap.
I'll have to do some more experimenting with that.. just to see what the deal is.

What if you have used AC-21 before getting GC ......
Would that allow you quit the employer sooner than 6 months after GC as this is not the employer who sponsored the GC in first place.

I485 gets processed in the order of 485 RD. If cut-off dates are 'current' PD does not matter. However, if the dates are retrogressed, visa numbers would be allocated for all pre-adjucated (screening, security checks etc are completed) in the order of Priority Date so PD does matter and in fact cut-off dates would be determined based on available visas and number of pre-adjucated (already filed) cases.

So this is why all lawyers recommend to keep your h1 status valid, when you file your 485. Getting into EAD is a risk, which some bold take and survive, others like me who try to play safe....stay on H1 until the 485 is approved.
That would have been my preference as well - unfortunately I did not have a choice since my company had a RIF and I am now looking for work! Any help on what the status is called (other than jobless!) would be appreciated

What people usually do is get someone in their home country to be the Google Adsense beneficiary
How do i register with google adsense to make someone from my home country as beneficiary.In that case wht do i need to give the persons taxid(like pan number from india).How can i do it?
Just change your registration info and set it to someone outside the US. I am not sure if they will ask you for any number if you are outside the US.

First I want to learn to take more pictures. I never seem to have the urge, opportunity and camera all in the same place at the same time.
I also would like to learn what to take pictures of. I am obviously limited by the capabilities of my Cybershot and circular polarizer. What kinds of photographs, subjects and conditions should I concentrate on so that I can take pictures I will be pleased with?
I live in Houston.

You will do best taking pictures of things you like. You will put more of yourself into it, and it will show. Whatever equipment you have is sufficient to start climbing that learning curve. When you outgrow it, you will know it and upgrade.
