no, the thing is that if you want the text to look good, you're gonna have to draw it yourself. or get some pixel fonts. or use verdana 9pt, and don't forget to alias the text.

If the Labor mentioned as a job location in NY...after we get the EAD..we cant move to Florida and work there..?
You are ok, if are on EAD and in AOS pending status.
I was referring to current job location BEFORE filing for I-485 application. A person can be out of H1 status if he/she is working on a location that is different from mentioned in the H1 LCA. This is something not many people are aware of.

I went online to check the status of my I-485 and it displayed me the following message
Application Type: I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS
Current Status: Document mailed to applicant.
On December 19, 2007 we mailed the document to the address we have on file. You should receive the new document within 30 days. If you do not, or if you move before you get it, call customer service.
What does it mean? Does it mean that I-485 is approved.
Pls guide.

Most likely, I might be moving into a new apartment next month. My EAD and AP are due for filing for extensions. Is it really necessary to file EAD and AP renewals in continuity? Can I wait and file the renewals after I move and have the new address information? This means that I might not get the renewed EAD and AP before my previous ones expire. I am currenly on H1-B and have not used EAD and not planning to use EAD and AP in near future.
Any help is really appreciated.

Sorry.. I just received the letter received from USCIS.. Its mentioned as "NOTICE TO INTENT TO DENY(NOID)".
The reason specified in the letters:
- Section 203(b)(2)(A)
- 8 C.F.R 204.5(l)(3)(ii)(C)
........
Here is the definition from USCIS regulations (refer to 8 CFR �204.5 (k) (2)) for advanced degree equivalency: "Advanced degree means any United States academic or professional degree or a foreign equivalent degree above that of baccalaureate."
The key word here is degree, i.e., singular degree. That means - the beneficiary must have �a degree�, not a combination of degrees. Combination of degrees, therefore, is not permitted for EB-2 Advanced Degree classification.
I have written many times on this issue, please refer to my old posts for more details.

If u look at the distribution for the fiscal year 2005, EB-2 did not use much of the surplus AC21 numbers. So why is EB2 retrogressed for India and China now. As somebody indicated in other threads, the USCIS may have suspended the AC21 act.

What was the cause for H1B rejection??
My H-1 B was not rejected, just application got returned back to the lawyer because some form was missing in it. They had refiled it back.
I donot know any other details, as lawyer did not share it with me..

I do not have links, but I have heard of 140 approvals being called into question during 485 adjudication. Some have resulted in 140 denials at that point.
So a 140 approval is not carved in stone...it is reversible.

I was reading through a thread here where someone said that since LC substition will be banned soon and 140 will have to be applied within 45 days of labor approval else LC becomes invalid, so it would not be possible to transfer the priority date of a old LC which has I140 approved to a new LC that could be filed in another category since it would be more than 45 days since the old LC was approved. Is this true, if yes, this is the final blow to those apirants in Eb3 aspiring to transfer PD by reapplying in Perm Eb2 and transferring PD based on approved I140. Please respond with comments. Thanks.

My friend has a multiple entry visitor visa for US which is valid till April 2009. However he has to visit in March 2009 and stay till around June 2009.
Can someone please tell if the immigration officer during port of entry will be able to grant him stay of the usual 6 months on current visa even though it is expiring?
Or if not, whether he can apply for new visitor visa stamping before expiry of the current one?

I think it can actually create huge heartburn. This is not intended to allow filing I-485 before PD is available. Rather it is to introduce one more hoop to jump over. Now I-485 will be "By invitation" after you successfully complete pre-screen.
Picture this. your I-140 is approved. YOu fill the pre-screen registration. They are supposed to do backgrond, EVL, name check etc etc... During all of this, you did not actually file I-485. Suddenly your PD becomes current becuase DOS has moved dates forward so as not to waste Visas. Still you cannot file I-485 because your pre-screen is not complete.
Basically their processing bottleneck will be shifted to pre-screen and potentially take away the interim benefits of EAD and AP even if they would be otherwise qualified to file for 485.
