Hiii! I did this look this weekend. Since I was wearing a bright pink shirt I didn't want to over do it with bright lipstick. So I opted for a bright pink blush! Dollmix is one of those colors I was afraid would not look right on my skin tone. This is my first time wearing it in a while, and I am glad I did. It is such a pretty shimmery pink and is not too bright at all. This is def a great pink for darker skin!

Make Up For Ever HD Foundation Review

My makeup was half done here, didn't put on lipstick or mascara yet



About a year ago I was on the search for the perfect foundation. I tried a couple but they all ended being fails. Finally I headed to Sephora and got matched for the HD foundation. It has been love ever since! I got matched for a 175 (dark skin with coral undertones), the color looks a little dark in person in the winter but it is the perfect color match for me in the summer. If you wear an NC 50 in Mac this color should work for you, it is just a little less yellow.  They have a wide range of colors and undertones so most people should be able to find a match!



This foundation retails at 40$ for 1.01 oz.

I highly recommend atleast trying this foundation. It is a little pricey but it looks beautiful on camera and provides full coverage that is semi matte and last all day. The biggest selling point of this foundation is how it appears on camera, it does not look obvious like many many foundations do when photographed. The foundation also does not oxidize which is a problem Ive had with others in the past, and has not caused any breakouts. I also like that the foundation comes with a pump. I usually pump some out and apply it with my 187 brush.

Before I became addicted to lipstick, blush was my favorite make up item. I never do my make up with out blush and I love how it can brighten up your whole face. NARS is one of my favorite brands of blush. They have gorgeous bright pigmented colors that show up beautifully on darker skin tones. The NARS blushes I own are Exhibit A, Taj Mahal, Taos, and the Lovejoy and Albatross Duo. I highly recommend these blushes, they may cost a little more ($26 each) but they last forever. I know you aren't suppose to keep makeup this long lol but I have some of these for years and there is just a little dent in them. The following swatches are very heavy, these do not look scary at all when applied lightly to the face.

Exhibit A: matte red

Taj Mahal: bright orange with golden shimmer

Taos: rose with shimmer 

Love Joy: pinkish brown with shimmer

 Albatross: golden white. This is a great highlight for darker skin tones, I wear it pretty much every time I wear makeup. It does not look white on the skin at all, it gives a soft golden glow.I like to use it above my cheek bones.

Of the five Taj Mahal, Lovejoy, and Albatross are my favorites! If you have brown skin, you need Taj Mahal!

Vegas Volt and Floral Shorts!

I know I say this alot, but I think I am in love with this lipstick! It is such a beautiful coral color that is actually coral (although it looks very pink in the following picture). I wanted this lipstick for a long time but I was afraid I would not be able to pull it off and it would be too light. I paired it with beet lip liner very lightly. I also wore my floral shorts from Forever 21, I really like the material and the fit of them.

These are pictures of my outfit, ignore the drinks lol and the lipstick was gone by this point. I did have a picture with my shoes but the picture is terribleeee lol.

It is no secret that I am obsessed with lipstick.

So I thought I'd do a post featuring my favorite bright colors from Mac.

I am all about bright lips this season, it is such an easy fun way to add color to your face!

I have done lip swatches or Fotds with all of these except for Vegas Volt, so I am not going to do them again I will just post the links.

I will post a Fotd with Vegas Volt soon, I just bought it yesterday and can not wait to wear it out!

Vegas Volt is an Amplified Creme formula and is described as a "full power coral". 

Morange is an Amplified Creme formula and is described as a "loudmouth orange".

Lipstick Haul: Freckletone, Morange, Impassioned, and Milani Rose Hip!

Hi Ladies!!! I picked up four new lipsticks yesterday. Three of the lipsticks were from Mac: Freckletone, Morange, and Impassioned, and I picked up Milani Rose Hip from CVS. Freckletone is a Lustre formula and is described as a "neutral peach" this is a nice nude for darker skin tones. Morange is an Amplified Creme formula and is described as a "loud mouth orange", this is a true orange with no red or coral. Impassioned is an Amplified Creme formula and is described as a "amped up fuchsia", this color is very bright and looks slightly coralish to me. Milani Rose is is also a very bright fuchsia pink and almost appears neon. These colors, especially the three brights, are great for the spring!
